Ishpeming power outage

ISHPEMING -- UPPCO crews are working to restore power in Ishpeming Monday night. A utility pole fire knocked out power to 867 customers around 6:00 p.m.

An UPPCO spokeswoman says power has been restored to most of those customers. She says the remaining customers should have their power back on by early Tuesday morning.

Crews are working throughout the night. No word on what caused the utility pole fire.
