MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- UPDATE: 5:50 p.m.

Police have identified a body that was found Thursday night in Wetmore Pond in Marquette Township.  Police confirmed the victim is 25-year-old Amy Luella Janson of Marquette.

Family members reported her missing in May of this year after her backpack was found near the Wetmore Pond shoreline.  Police divers searched the pond, but were unable to locate her body due to a lack of visibility.

Hikers discovered Janson's body floating in the pond Thursday night.  An autopsy was conducted Friday afternoon.  The cause of death has not been released.

Although the case remains under investigation, state police say foul play is not suspected.
