Police have released new details in the shooting death of 51-year-old Ann Schueller. At a press conference Tuesday afternoon, officials said their investigation shows 55-year-old Richard Heyer of Crivitz shot his ex-girlfriend Ann Schueller in the back. They say the bullet passed through her chest, killing her.

The incident allegedly happened at the Citgo Convenience store in the Village of Wausaukee Sunday afternoon. Officials say after the shooting, Heyer walked outside the store and attempted suicide by shooting himself in the chest. He remains hospitalized in critical condition in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Heyer will be charged with first degree homicide with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.

No court date has been set yet.
