Names released in Marinette County murder

MARINETTE COUNTY -- The Marinette County Sheriff's Department has released more information regarding the murder, attempted suicide that occurred on Sunday.

The victim has been identified as 51-year-old Ann M. Schueller, a resident of Wausaukee, Wisconsin. Schueller was shot and killed shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday at a Citgo convenience store on 306 Main St. in the Village of Wausaukee.

A man that police believe shot the woman and then himself has been identified as 55-year-old Richard B. Heyer of Crivitz, Wisconsin. He is currently in a Green Bay hospital in post-operation intensive care for treatment of a self-inflicted gun shot wound to the chest.

The Marinette County District Attorney's Office is considering homicide charges. The Marquette County Sheriff will be holding a press conference at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the Sheriff's Office Training Room in Marinette, Wisconsin.
