ISHPEMING -- People had a chance to tour the Ishpeming Fire Department Tuesday afternoon.

It's all a part of "National Night Out" where law enforcement and fire departments across the country open their doors to community members.  The Ishpeming Fire Department invited anyone in the area for a tour of the department and to get to know each other.

"It's a nice chance for people to come down, meet some of the firefighters that are out helping them out when they do call and to come down and see some of the equipment.  A lot of people have never had a chance to see some of these vehicles up close," said Ishpeming Fire Chief, Ed Anderson.

The open house lasted until 8 p.m., and they served pop and pizza.
