MARQUETTE -- Children are filling Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marquette this week.

One-hundred-fifty volunteers and more than 300 kids of all ages are attending the annual Vacation Bible School.

Early in the morning, the auditorium is filled with singing and dancing.  Afterwards, teams break into groups for outdoor games, crafts, mission projects, and snacks.

"Kids go through a lot of things in their lives; we just want them to know that no matter who they are or what people do, they can always trust in God and that God is there for them, and I think that message is coming across. They all seem to respond well to it," said Pastor Chad Ott.

There's still time for kids to join the fun.  The camp runs until Friday from 9 a.m. until noon.  Thursday, there will be a special program for parents and kids which gives parents an opportunity to see what their child has learned.
