Man dead after early morning crash

PESHTIGO -- The Marinette County Sheriff reports that 46-year-old Peshtigo man is dead after an early morning crash on Tuesday.

According to police, Timothy Roberts was driving on Rehms Road when he crossed the centerline and hit a power pole around 4:23 a.m. Authorities extricated Roberts from the wreckage and he was transported to Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette, where he was pronounced dead.

The Marinette County Sheriff's Department is investigating the crash.
