ALGER COUNTY -- Two people arrested in Alger County for drug possession have been arraigned.

Forty-seven-year-old John Wagner Saarinen of Walled Lake, Michigan is charged with possession of heroin and for carrying a concealed weapon in an automobile.  Also charged was 27-year-old Lindsey Rae Hendricks of Farmington Hills. She is charged with possession of heroin.

The pair was arrested on July 4 after reports came in of a possible drunk driver at the Scott Falls parking lot. When police arrived and searched their vehicle, they found heroin, syringes and the hand gun.

Saarinen and Hendricks will be in court on July 17 for preliminary examinations in Alger County District Court.
