KINGSFORD -- The Northwood's Garden Club held its annual strawberry social at Gazebo Park in Kingsford.

The club is comprised of women who volunteer their time planting flowers for seven gardens in Iron Mountain and Kingsford.  The annual strawberry social fundraiser sells strawberry sundaes with locally grown produce.

"It's the only thing that we really do that's really big, otherwise we ask the community for donations, and that's how we get our money for the flowers that we plant around town," said Club President, Debby Brysson.

Last year the organization raised nearly $400 and hope this year's turnout produces the same.
