WHITEFISH POINT -- The body of a missing diver was recovered Tuesday from Lake Superior.  The diver has been identified as 52-year-old Derril Yerigan from New Richmond, Wisconsin.

Yerigan, along with three other divers, were on a charter boat Monday afternoon about 16 miles from Whitefish Point.  They were exploring the shipwreck SS Samuel Mather in 174 feet of water.  Yerigan never surfaced.  Michigan State Police divers found his body Tuesday on the deck of the shipwreck.

The Chippewa County Medical Examiner has ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death.  Foul play is not suspected.
