DOLLAR BAY -- The Dollar Bay Fire Department responded to a house fire just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Fire officials say it took 45 minutes to control the blaze at 26165 East Grosse Pointe Shores Road in Dollar Bay.  No injuries were reported, and when the fire department arrived, they say the resident was walking on the street.

Officials say a neighbor saw the fire and called it in.

"We were paged out at about ten minutes to nine this morning to a cabin on East Grosse Pointe Shores and it was pretty well engulfed on the back portion and the back porch," said Ron Kokonen, Dollar Bay Fire Chief.

Officials say most of the damage occurred in the back of the house.  Quincy-Franklin and Boston Fire Departments were also on scene.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
