HOUGHTON -- In the Copper Country, the cities of Houghton and Hancock are celebrating Bridgefest and Seafood Fest.

Hundreds of people make their way up to the Copper Country to enjoy the food and events. It takes more than 300 volunteers to help manage all of the festivities, and when it comes to this special occasion, it seems everyone has their favorite thing to do.

"I enjoy going to antique car shows. I've got a few automobiles. They've had log carving contests and we've had jet boat races over the years. Every year it's something different," said Ferdy Peterlin, vice president of Bridgefest.

Some people are choosing to be a bit more daring by taking to the skies in a helicopter. Lake Superior Helicopter offered an aerial view of the city from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. The events will continue Sunday.
