SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY -- Larry Kouw, the 64-year-old man that has had an issue with his neighbor, has been found guilty of four of the six charges he faced in Schoolcraft County court.

The jury returned with a verdict shortly before 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening.  The charges Kouw faced were the result of an incident with his neighbor, 83-year-old Richard Hughson.

Kouw was found guilty of assaulting Richard Hughson's son, Rick A. Hughson, malicious destruction of property, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  He was found not guilty of disturbing the peace and assaulting Richard Hughson.

Kouw will be back in court on June 27 at 11:30 a.m. for his sentencing.  The charges he was convicted of are misdemeanors involving anywhere from 93 days in jail to a year, with $500 to $2,000 in fines.
