ISHPEMING -- Are you looking to get your kids active and out of the house?  Well Crossfit 906 in Ishpeming now has a kids summer camp.

From Tuesdays to Thursdays at Crossfit 906, kids will be lifting weights, working on abs, and doing other exercises.  The program helps kids build endurance, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles.

"It helps with their ability to learn and retain memories.  It helps with their movement.  If they're interactive in any sports, it will increase their ability in those sports and general overall health for the kids.  We also talk about nutrition, so well roundedness," said trainer, Shannon Terres.

It's $40 per month and ends in August.  But come fall, there'll be a permanent Cross Fit kids class.
