Wildfire in Luce County 100 percent contained

NEWBERRY -- The Duck Lake wildfire is now 100 percent contained. The fire burned more the 21,000 acres in Luce County.

Officials from the Department of Natural Resources say 55 personnel are still patrolling the perimeter of the fire and putting out hot spots. They say they're still finding five or six each day. Monday, the public was allowed back into the area. But part of the Two Hearted ORV trail remains closed.

Visitors are asked to use caution as the roads are dusty and heavy equipment is being moved.
