ONTONAGON -- The case of an Ontonagon County man, facing charges of criminal sexual conduct, is finally going to trial. Jury selection was held Monday for 56-year-old Ruben Gonzales.
The prosecution and defense had their opening arguments, and two witnesses took the stand, including the mother of one of the victims.
Gonzales is accused of molesting two girls under the age of 13. Those allegations stem from 2010, and State Police say the incidents happened at the victims' home.
The five-day trial continued Tuesday in Ontonagon County Circuit Court.
