MARQUETTE -- Some senior citizens in Marquette learned a little more about the resources at their disposal on Saturday.

It was all part of the second annual Senior Health Fair at Brookridge Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care. Residents spent the afternoon hearing presentations on several different topics, from hospice care to financial and medical power of attorney, from organizations like Lake Superior Hospice and Upper Peninsula Health Plan.

The purpose of the day was to help the residents be aware of the resources available to them and their families.

"This is really, really fantastic," said Marketing Director Julie Laethem. "It's great to be a part of Marquette, and it's great to be here working with our residents and our guests."

Brookridge Heights also provided food for the residents and their guests. The Door Cats provided live music.
