HARRIS -- The annual Mix and Mingle Prom was held Monday night at the Island Resort and Casino.  But it's not your average prom.

It's a dance held for people with disabilities, and it lasted from 5-9 p.m.  About 550 people attended, along with their families and friends.  They came from several counties across Upper Michigan.  The dances started about 12 years ago.

"But we also have five other dances that we have throughout the year.  Also, in fact, when this one's over tonight, we'll probably have people asking when's the next one," said Event Co-coordinator, Trina Short.

And by the looks of it everyone had a great time.
