MARQUETTE -- The president's health care policy was the topic of discussion Wednesday night at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette.

The Marquette County Democrats hosted a representative of "Know Your Care."  It's a nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy group that works to inform the public of the benefits of the health care law.

The group says the Catholic church, which is challenging the policy because of its contraception mandate, is missing the big picture.

"They should really focus on what's important about the affordable care act, which is that a lot of low income people, which the Catholic church is generally supportive of, will now be able to have quality health insurance.  That's what's really important about the affordable care act," said John Freeman, State Director of Know Your Care.
