NORWAY -- The Norway-Vulcan school is ranked the top high school in the Upper Peninsula according to US News and World Report.  The high school ranked 33rd in the State of Michigan earning a silver medal.  Only two other schools in the U.P. have earned silver medals.  The award was determined through a rating system of student test scores.

"We're very proud of Norway-Vulcan High School, proud of all of our staff and happy for the recognition," said School Superintendent, Louis Steigerwald.

US News also analyzes the schools' preparation of students for life after graduation.  Norway-Vulcan challenges students, offering college level AP courses, calculus two, chemistry two, physics and anatomy.
