MANISTIQUE -- Several hundred people traveled to Manistique this weekend to browse the 2012 Outdoor Expo and Gun and Knife Show.

It was held at the Little Bear West Arena. For only one dollar, visitors were able to browse more than two dozen vendors, most of which were from Wisconsin and Lower Michigan. Vendors offered many vehicles, lawn mowers, and other items for the family, like jewelry and candy. The main attractions were the several gun vendors who offered firearms with all kinds of ammunition and accessories.

"We want more vendors coming in. This is a great expo, and we hope that we continue to get new vendors coming in," said Bill Pohlman, the recreation's director.

The show is held every Mother's Day weekend.
