NEGAUNEE -- The driver of a vehicle that rolled over in Negaunee Sunday afternoon says he fell asleep behind the wheel.

It happened shortly before 2 p.m. The driver told police he was driving his SUV on US-41 when he fell asleep, lost control and flipped over. He told police he had just finished a work shift. He was alone in the car. Responders with Bell EMS treated him on the scene for minor injuries.

The Negaunee City Police, Negaunee Fire Department were on scene. The accident remains under investigation.
