MARQUETTE -- People took to Superior Lanes in Marquette Thursday in support of kids across the U.P.  Big Brothers Big Sisters hosted "Bowl for Kids' Sake"  to raise money for the organization.

Each team gathered at least $75 in pledges.  They're hoping to raise $50,000.  Big Brothers Big Sisters is a mentorship program where kids and adults are partners for a year.

"Help us match more children in the community with Big Brothers Big Sisters.   That support includes recruiting kids, interview screening; we do background checks.  We match them up according to interest and location, and we also provide activities for our matches," said Director of Development for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Senja Wahlman.

So far they've raised over $25,000 from the Bowl for Kids' Sake events.
