CALUMET -- Even though Earth Day is over, Goodwill still wants to remind you about the importance of recycling.  The Goodwill work center in Calumet is accepting all types of recyclable material.  Those materials include plastic, metal, paper, and computers with a program called "Dell Reconnect".

Goodwill has been recycling within the company for many years now and feels it's finally time to branch out.

"We're doing a pilot project in conjunction with Earth Month to see about the community's interest and need for a recycling drop-off center," said Workforce Regional Manager, Keith Stenger.

If enough people in the community are interested, Goodwill says they'll open the recycling center permanently.

Materials will be accepted through this Saturday, and you can also receive a tax deduction receipt for your donation.
