MACKINAC COUNTY -- A Mackinac County woman will spend time in jail for hitting a pedestrian and driving away.

Earlier this month, a jury found Sherry Lynn Lovegrove guilty of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.  Last August, Lovegrove hit a man walking on M-123 in Brevort Township.  She claimed she thought she hit a deer.

Lovegrove was sentenced to a year in jail but could get out after serving 30 days.
