HARRIS -- The entertainment lineup for the U.P State Fair was announced at a luncheon Thursday at the Island Resort and Casino.
Among the entertainers--Tesla, Thompson Square, and the Eli Young Band, along with a demolition derby.
The theme for the fair will be "Three For All" in honor of the fair's third year. Last year's fair was a major success with attendance increasing by 3,000 visitors over the previous year.
Now organizers are hoping to build on that success with an entertainment lineup that will appeal to all ages.
"Well it's important to get the build up and anticipation and excitement going for the U.P. State Fair, which is Michigan's only state fair, which we are happy to be apart of," said Hannahville Tribal Chairman, Ken Meshiguad.
Organizers have also added a new education pavilion featuring the miracle of life, and farm and forest exhibits.
