CALUMET -- The Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Calumet is offering customers a 20 percent off storewide sale.

The sale is in celebration of Earth Day and Habitat ReStore wants to remind everyone the importance of recycling as well as how much they depend on donated materials.  The store doesn't just focus on clothing...it's also a place where people buy building materials, like cabinets, and they offer appliances.

Studies have shown that nearly 30 percent of building material will end up in a landfill and ReStore says as long as it's in good condition, they're more than willing to take it.

"I think the purpose of Habitat ReStores is to provide low cost goods at a fraction of their normal cost," said ReStore Manager Joseph Mihal.  "Generally they're used or sometimes new, and it provides money to help build homes for low-income families."

If you're interested in making a purchase, the sale is this Friday and Saturday.
