DELTA COUNTY -- Two suspects are lodged in the Delta County Jail after a break-in complaint turned into an alleged assault.

The Michigan State Police were called to a breaking and entering in progress around 3:15 Sunday afternoon at a camp on X.75 Road in Masonville Township, Delta County.  When they arrived, they spoke with the two people who called in the break-in.

They told troopers that while seated on their ATVs, they confronted the suspects.  The two male suspects then tried to drive off in their trucks.  In the process of fleeing, one rammed an ATV that a complainant was sitting on, forcing him to jump off for safety.  The other ATV driver moved her vehicle behind a tree to avoid being struck by the second suspect.

With the help of the K9 officer, both suspects were found and arrested.  Their names are being withheld pending arraignment.
