SAWYER -- There are some changes in the future at Sawyer International Airport.  Manager Keith Kaspari has resigned and is moving on to a new opportunity as the new deputy executive director at the Capitol Regional Authority Airport in Lansing.

During his nearly nine years of service, Kaspari has seen many transitions at Sawyer International Airport.

"Through the Upper Peninsula Green Aviation Coalition working with communities of Houghton, Delta County, Twin County Airport in Marinette/Menominee for that initiative to utilize our assets in the central corridor of the U.P. for possibly a number of industrial aviation programs," said Kaspari.

Kaspari says he's sad to leave Marquette but is sure the airport will continue to thrive.  His last day on the job at Sawyer International will be May 1.  His first day on the job in Lansing will be May 14.
