Man dead after morning rollover crash

NEGAUNEE -- One person was killed in a single vehicle crash on Tuesday morning in Negaunee.

It happened around 11 a.m. on East Maas Street near Forge Road.

The driver, 46-year-old Terrence James Lyons of Ishpeming, was headed east on Maas Street when he lost control of his 1995 Mitsubishi Montero. The vehicle went off the road and rolled. Lyons was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Negaunee Police Department says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
