MENOMINEE -- One of the teens involved in a case of cattle torture in Menominee County will have to wait to hear his sentence.

Seventeen-year-old Chad Meier, Jr. was waiting outside the courtroom for 45 minutes to learn his fate regarding the incident of two cows and a bull being stabbed last July.

Meier waited outside the courtroom as the judge, prosecutor, and defense were in discussion.

The judge entered the room and stated that there are certain things that should be taken into account in this case that haven't been.

The judge said "a young man's life is on the line, and it is imperative that we get all the facts straight."

Meier's sentencing will take place on April 12 at 1:30 p.m.  The other two teens involved in this case, Nicholas Micheal Leisner and Peter Sauve, have already been sentenced and will spend two to four years behind bars.
