NEGAUNEE -- A motorist who drove off without paying for $100 in gasoline is being sought by police.

This happened at Bucks Party Store in Negaunee, Sunday afternoon between 12:15 and 12:30 p.m.

The vehicle is a black Ford SUV, a late 1990s to early 2000 model with no metal license plate on it.

The driver, described as a male in his 20s, was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt and a camouflage ball cap.  He pumped the $100 of gas and then drove off, heading north on Teal Lake Avenue.

There was a female passenger who did not get out of the vehicle.

The Negaunee City Police say that the suspect might also be using a second vehicle, which is a green late model GMC extended cab Z-71.

Anyone who may have information on this is asked to contact the Negaunee City Police at (906) 475-4154.
