FLORENCE -- A Florence student has been taken into custody after authorities say he admitted making a bomb threat on Thursday morning.

The bomb threat was discovered on the wall of a bathroom at the Florence High School/Middle School at 9:30 Thursday morning.

Students were locked down in a safe area.  A bomb sniffing dog from Escanaba was called in to assist the Florence County Sheriff's Department.

No bomb was found, and classes resumed on Thursday afternoon.

The juvenile who admitted writing the threat has been transported to the Brown County Juvenile Detention Center.
