DELTA COUNTY -- The case of a 23-year-old Gladstone man who is accused of abusing the young son of his girlfriend last October is headed to trial.
Allen Joseph Brunette is scheduled for trial April 16 through April 20 in Delta County Circuit Court. He was arrested on October 14, 2011.
Brunette is charged with first degree child abuse, domestic violence, third offense, and being a habitual offender. He remains lodged in jail in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond.
The child has recovered from his injuries and is with his mother.
