ISHPEMING -- A parade through downtown Ishpeming is all set for Tuesday. It's in honor of the 125th ski jumping tournament at Suicide Hill on Wednesday.

The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. After the parade, there will be a spaghetti dinner at the Elk's Lodge in Ishpeming.

The goal of the parade is to recognize the uniqueness of the tournament.

"Ski jumping has been such a major part of this community for so long that we forget how special and unique it is because it's just a part of the people here," said Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Chamber of Commerce Director, Elizabeth Peterson. "And it's hard to revitalize that and say hey, don't forget you should be really proud of this. It's incredible! These athletes are one of a kind, and it's happening in your backyard."

The parade starts in the Saint Johns Catholic Church parking lot and heads down Main Street.

The spaghetti dinner is $7 for adults and $5 for kids.
