MARQUETTE -- Twelve months in prison is what 62-year-old Karen Kirby was sentenced to Friday morning.

Kirby was found guilty of unlawful imprisonment last month.  Her co-defendant, Calvin Martz, was also found guilty last month of unlawfully imprisoning Kirby's daughter.

He was sentenced to serve 15 to 40 years in prison.  At the sentencing, Kirby's daughter, Stephanie Kirby, said she forgives her mother and hopes to have contact with her while she is in jail.
