MOHAWK -- Congressman Dan Benishek held a meet and greet at Slim's Cafe in Mohawk on Thursday morning.

The restaurant was filled with people voicing their opinions and concerns on some of the issues facing the state and Congress. One of the main concerns amongst the crowd was Social Security and what will happen to it in the future.

"The people who are depending on it for their retirement are worried that it is going to go away, and I think they're also worried about the federal debt and their children and grandchildren's share of it, and they want our young people to have something as well," said Representative Benishek.

Some of the other issues that came up were defense spending, Medicare, income taxes, and corporate tax breaks.

If you missed the meet and greet on Thursday, you can still voice your concerns by writing letters or sending emails by visiting http://benishek.house.gov/
