ESCANABA -- The Escanaba Public Library had a patriotic display during November that honored the services of U.P. veterans of different wars.

It was put up because of the recent U.P. Honor Flight that took veterans to see the war memorials in Washington, D.C.  The photographs on the boards were prepared by Linda Shank, owner of the school, Bell Learning Resource Center.

The war memorabilia came from the collection of Bill Isetts, a Delta County man.  Library employees say the display is very popular with patrons.

"Well, partly because of all the interest in the U.P. Honor Flight right now," said Adult Services Librarian, Monique Ciofu.  "So it's a nice, related exhibit between the two.  They both honor veterans of different wars."

The monthly library display changes but always attracts interest because it's often put together by someone with an interesting story.
