MARQUETTE -- Don't worry bagel lovers in Marquette. Third Street Bagel is still open for business; they're just undergoing renovations.
The favorite bagel shop is still serving through their drive-through and by delivery, but they've completely gutted their interior. It's all for some major improvements. Doors and windows will be updated to be more energy efficient, floors will be retiled, and ceilings will be raised by two feet.
The dining space will also be expanded with the addition of a raised seating lounge with a gas fireplace.
"I'm just trying to make it a little more modern. I'm just trying to give it a whole new look; we've had this look for the last 14 years, and I just wanted to change it up a little bit," said Christal Silta, owner of Third Street Bagel.
Renovations are expected to be completed by Dec. 15.
