MARQUETTE -- Just in time for the Christmas season, a play in Marquette to get you in the Christmas spirit:  the Vertigo Theater Company presents a Christmas Carol.

Based on Charles Dickens' classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future, this local stage adaptation by Dave Hansen has a unique twist.

Only 5 actors will play more than 15 characters in the play--no costumes, no big fancy sets, just the action.

"When you strip it down to no sets, no costumes in such a small space, it really becomes all about the story and all about the character interaction," said Jeff Spencer from the theater company.

The show began Thursday evening at the Peter White Public Library and will continue Friday through Saturday with evening shows at 7 p.m. and a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m.
