Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived to greet the children and get a list of gift wishes.

GWINN -- Nothing says Christmas more than hot cocoa, carolers and Santa Claus. Community members of Gwinn gathered at Nordeen Park Saturday night to brave the cold as they welcomed the Christmas season.

Carolers set the mood with a few classic Christmas songs. Inside the park building, kids were welcome to pick out a free pair of gloves or hats.

Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived to greet the children and get a list of gift wishes.

"The community got some hats and mittens for the kids and scarves, and there's different little presents and they get to speak to Santa," Katie Aho, a community member dressed as an elf, said.

The event wouldn't be complete without the official lighting of the community Christmas tree.
