MARQUETTE -- Local cyclists finished off their Cyclocross season Saturday.  The KMK Cycling Club held its championship round at Tourist Park in Marquette.

Dozens of racers competed in a series of races between September and November.  Cyclocross is a form of racing that consists of a series of short laps and obstacle courses.

"Cyclocross is a fantastic spectator sport," said KMK Cycling Club President Jesse Bell.  "People are out ringing bells and cheering on the racers, and the nature of the short courses means that spectators have a lot of opportunities to view the racers that they're here to watch, so it's a real fun activity for the racers and the spectators."

The winners were awarded handmade prizes like painted mugs and metal wheels.
