MARQUETTE -- You may not think your age has anything to do with your driving, but a group of Marquette seniors learned how your age and technology can affect your driving habits.

Seniors participated in an AARP Driver Safety Course at the First Methodist Church in Marquette.  The course is designed to help seniors update their knowledge of laws, teach defensive driving techniques and how to compensate for normal physical changes associated with aging.

The goal of the course is to reduce traffic violations, crashes and injuries.

"As we age, our bodies change, and probably one of the most important things is this helps us look at some of those changes.  They're changes that take place over quite a long period of time usually, and because they happen so gradually, we sometimes don't realize it," said instructor, Don Balmer.

Thursday's course was sponsored by the Northern Center for Life Long Learning.
