MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- A new road will mean new business opportunities in Marquette Township.
Crews were hard at work finishing a new road that will connect Commerce Drive to Venture Drive in a new development in the township.
The road is called Cornerstone Road, named after Cornerstone Development, the company that is developing the area.
The quarter mile long road will open 10 acres of land that will be able to house seven new development opportunities with two businesses already interested.
"We're trying to make a business campus concept where businesses can grow off one another and have some synergy to create an economic environment that helps all of their businesses," said Cornerstone Development Manager Jim Clark.
Cornerstone Road will have complete underground utilities along with sewer and water mains. The project was started in September and is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
