MARQUETTE -- Blues lovers headed to the Peter White Library to learn about the center piece of the music, the guitar.

It was part of the Bluesday Tuesday program that delves into various aspects of the blues.

This week's guest was Travis and the Saint Lou's, who provided insight on Chicago blues guitar and provided live music.

The Saint Lou's have only been around since last year, but are hoping to represent a generation that seems to have forgotten the blues.

"This music is kind of a folk tradition.  It's something that, historically, has been passed down from generation to generation, and I think that there's a missing generation right now, you know.  I mean there's no one really playing traditional blues in that style in my generation that I know of," said Front Man Travis Swanson.

The next Bluesday Tuesday will be "Early Blues Women" featuring Bill Hart of WNMU Public Radio 13 on November 29.
