ISHPEMING -- Those looking to get a deal on some great merchandise and help the community may need to look no further than the Salvation Army's Harvest Auction on Wednesday.

The auction is part of an annual fall fundraiser that will include an auction of 80 to 100 new items and 40 gift certificates donated by local businesses.

Items donated include clothing, tools, and sports memorabilia.  The money raised from the auction will help the Salvation Army fund programs to help community members pay for food and utility bills in the winter.

"I encourage everybody to come on down," said volunteer auctioneer Paul Bonetti.  "It will be a win-win situation; you can probably get a pretty good deal and doing so, you can help out some of the people in the community."

The auction will start at 6 p.m. at the Salvation Army in Ishpeming.  There will also be a $5 chili feed starting at 5 p.m.
