Suspicious death in Iron County

IRON COUNTY -- Iron County Sheriff's Department officials are investigating the suspicious death of an 81-year-old woman.

Officials say sheriff's deputies were requested to perform a well being check at the residence of Joyce Johnson after she failed to appear as a witness in a trial in Iron County court.

The search resulted in deputies finding Johnson deceased. Law enforcement officials are treating the death as a homicide.
