It was an enjoyable day for many Finnish people in Ishpeming attending the 3rd annual Finn Fun Day

The event included a wide variety of Finnish activities.  You could watch Finnish cheese getting made and demonstrations of shawl making.  There was also live music featuring a Finnish instrument player from Seattle, Washington.

"Our program usually ends with playing my great-great grandmother's song that almost everybody knows in Finland," says Finnish instrument player Wilho Saari.

"Today in Finland, everything has become much more modern, and we're trying to preserve the old Finland, the old traditions," says L.A.F.S. President Ronald Hill.

Around 300 people attended Saturday's festivities.  And next week, they'll begin planning next year's Finn Fun Day.
