Poll:  Campaign Spending

President Barack Obama has collected more than $86 million for his re-election campaign and the Democratic party during the past three months, giving him a large fundraising lead over Republicans heading into the 2012 campaign.

Obama campaign manager Jim Messina says in a video posted early Wednesday that the campaign raised more than $47 million, and the Democratic National Committee brought in more than $38 million through the end of June. Obama opened his re-election campaign in April, and his team had set a goal of raising $60 million combined for the quarter.

Republican presidential candidates, led by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, have collectively raised about $35 million, although some candidates have yet to release their results.  Romney has pulled in more than $18 million.

Tonight in the Daily Pulse, we're wondering:  Should there be a cap on the amount of money a Presidential candidate can spend on his or her campaign?  Yes or no.
