MUNISING -- A verdict has been reached in the trial of an Alger County man accused of running over a woman with his snowmobile while driving drunk.

The jury found 26-year-old Nathan Curry of Trenary guilty of the lesser charge of operating while visibly impaired.  This is a misdemeanor charge, reduced from the original felony charge of operating under the influence, causing serious injury.  He was on trial for operating while intoxicated causing serious injury.

In February 2010, Curry's sled ran over Kyriea Schultz.  She suffered a punctured lung, as well as rib, back and liver injuries.

Curry is scheduled to be sentenced on August 1 at 9:00 a.m. in Alger County Circuit Court.  The misdemeanor charge carries a maximum penalty of 93 days in jail.
